I am presenting this powerpoint via myPlick. This is question 1 of my evaluation of my main task. In this question I talk about how each of my media products that I have created conform to the codes and conventions of real media products. I had previously researched the codes and conventions of magazine front covers, contents pages and double page spreads and I used this to create my main task.

I changed my front cover after looking at various front covers from music magazines used in the media now. These helped me to change the placement of things such as the barcode.

This is the screenshots for how I made my contents page. I made my contents page on Quark which before the preliminary task I had never used before. I quickly learned where all the tools I needed were.

This is my screenshots of how I made my front cover. It shows the tools used in Photoshop to create it. I was fairly familiar with Photoshop before starting this but making this product has increased my confidence in using it.
